Moin, Juist!

Windy days. Rainy days. Or Schietwetter, as the locals say. Salt in our hair. Long relaxing beach walks. Fresh air. A cup of tea. Thalasso massages. Reading books. Sleeping in. Fantastic breakfast & dinners. A little bit of sunshine. Fischbrötchen & beer. Siestas – a great way to relax, unwind, and disconnect.

Back in one of my favorite parts of Germany, the Nordsee ♥️

Juist is one of the 12 East Frisian islands off the German coast in the North Sea and famous for its slow pace.

The arrival on Juist depends largely on the tide, in other words, one ferry a day. The slow pace starts upon arrival and a salty breeze is greeting you. The island is completely car-free, so the only modes of transportation are horse carriage, bicycle, pedal car, or walking.

Even food is called like the weather here ⛈️ 😅
The “Orkantuete” 🌀 is very tasty!
A moment of blue sky.
Juist is when you sit outside in a beer garden at 11C degrees because it stopped raining (it’s been very rainy here…) 🍻
